Saxon: Biff Byford New Video Interview

Blitzkrieg Metal Magazine recently caught up with Saxon frontman Biff Byford prior to the band's show in Uden, Holland on May 8th. Check it out below:. Click here for Blitzkrieg's coverage of the show.
Regarding their new album, “Call to Arms”Byfford said that it has more of an 80s sound, and that the band loves it.
On the more delicate topic of Oliver-Dawson-SaxonByfford cryptically added “we don’t want to destroy them… completely [...] they have to make a living!”, referencing the fact that, after winning a court battle against Oliver-Dawson over the name Saxon, they allowed them to use it as a hyphenated addition to their name.
Saxon is currently on a European Tour that will eventually land them on Spain, where they will play with legendary rockers Mötorhead and Judas Priest, so be sure to check that out!

Saxon will release their brand new studio album, "Call To Arms", via Militia Guard Music, UDR and EMI on May 23rd. The tracklisting is as follows:

'Hammer Of The Gods'
'Back In 79'
'Surviving Against The Odds'
'Mists Of Avalon'
'Call To Arms'
'Chasing The Bullet'
'Afterburner'

'No Rest For The Wicked'
'Ballad Of The Working Man'
'Call To Arms' (Orchestral version)

  1. I saw them yesterday in Ljubljana, Slovenia (kino Šiška). Well... Steve Dawson was 100 times better bass player. Without his bass-drive rhythm SAXON isn't SAXON.
