Aerosmith: Track-By-Track Premiere Continues With "Lover Alot"

This driving rocker is an echo directly from Aerosmith's earliest hit-making years, and could arguably fit easily on any of their classic Seventies albums. A collision of guitars erupts behind an excited Steven Tyler, who rips through an avalanche of innuendo and explicit sexuality: "You get a thrill from the smell of her hair/You get a high from the taste of her wet/It's certified, bu-bu-bu-but chu ain't getting there yet!"

It begins with a false start and a groan from drummer Joey Kramer, then dives in without a break until it crashes to a shriek and a close. It's the kind of sound many fans have expected to come with the return of producer Jack Douglas, chief collaborator on Aerosmith's first decade of career-defining work. (Douglas also plays some percussion on "Lover Alot.")

Saxon: "Sacriface Tour"; Dates Announced; New Album Out In February 2013

Throughout the years, Saxon have been touring relentlessly and earning an excellent reputation for the quality and energy of their performances. This is documented in their "Heavy Metal Thunder – The Movie", which is released on 7th December. As UK fans await "Sacrifice" with the same anticipation reserved for Saxon’s previous work, they know the spring shows will be - as always - a treat not to be missed.

Biff Byford says “People have been asking me if this is going to be our last album and tour - we don’t know yet we’ll see how it goes.”

After more than 35 years and 13 million albums sold worldwide, Saxon are still relentless and passionate as they were back in the days of ‘Wheels of Steel’ and ‘Denim and Leather’. The influential heavy metal outfit has been an inspiration for the likes of Metallica and Megadeth and a front-runner for the New Wave of British Heavy Metal sweeping the nation in the late 70s-early 80s. New Studio album "Sacrifice" out on February 25th, will be album number 20 in their stellar career, and fans are as excited as they were when Saxon first made their initial impact on the metal scene.

Led Zeppelin: Jimmy Page Remastering The Entire Zeppelin Catalog

Peter Mensch, the manager of Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page, told the U.K.'s Sunday Times that the legendary axeman is holed up in a west London studio "remastering every  Led Zeppelin  LP." It is believed that the new remasters, which are tentatively due next year, will possibly include alternate takes and unreleased material as well.

Page recently told Mojo magazine that there are plans to release each Zeppelin studio album as a box set with additional material from each LP. In addition, it was revealed in an article in The Australian that artistShepard Fairley has been tapped to re-design the artwork for the upcoming reissues.

Page recently told a British radio station that he is working on new music, which might be released before the end of the year. During a chat with BBC Radio, Page said, "I'm just looking forward to making some music and surprising people with it. It won't be just teaming up with lots of people who are [big] names. I've got an idea of something which I've had for a long time and now's the time to do it."

Page remained ambiguous when talking about the still-unnamed project, saying: "I have got other ideas that have been nagging at me for a long long time, I think the way to present music is same picture different frame, and sometimes this frame is quite radical."

KISS: More "The Casablanca Singles 1974-1982" Details

In their early years, KISS released a total of 29 singles on seven-inch 45 RPM records for the Casablanca label. These were available for sale to the public, used for commercial radio airplay and to promote album sales. Many of these singles had entirely different mixes, edits and material that didn't appear on their vinyl albums. Now for the first time, these musical snapshots of KISS' formative years, which have never been available in a commemorative singles edition, entitled "The Casablanca Singles 1974-1982", on Mercury/Casablanca/UMe, will be available in December in two box set configurations:

* 29 Seven-Inch Vinyl
* 29 CDs (available through all retail)

In typical KISS fashion, these are no ordinary boxes. The sets are housed in a beautiful die cut shadow box with a limited edition etched silver metal plate and ribbon pull magnetic closure custom KISS 45s box with 26 collectible picture sleeves from original single releases around the world, including Japan, Germany, Holland, Spain and Britain. The vinyl collection also features singles from all four solo albums in purple, blue, red and green vinyl with a mask picture sleeve representing each individual member as originally released in the U.K. Both sets include a booklet which tracks the genesis and chart history of each single represented in the package.

"The Casablanca Singles 1974-1982" covers KISS' remarkable eight-year stay on Bogart's label, from their very first, "Nothin' to Lose" b/w "Love Theme from KISS", from their self-titled debut to their very first charted 45, "Kissin' Time". The band's subsequent string of hits included "Dressed to Kill"'s live version of "Rock and Roll All Nite" (#12 on Billboard's Hot 100), "Destroyer"'s "Shout It Out Loud" (#31) and the Top 10 ballad"Beth""Rock And Roll Over"'s "Hard Luck Woman" (#15) and "Calling Dr. Love" (#16), "Love Gun"'s "Christeen Sixteen" (#25), Ace Frehley's solo hit, "New York Groove" (#13) and "Dynasty"'s "I Was Made for Lovin' You" (#11).

"Even I haven't heard some of this stuff, but this is all part of our master plan to celebrate KISS at this milestone in our careers," says Gene Simmons. "This box set represents us at the very beginning of our career, and documents the band's early success and subsequent growth."

Adds Paul Stanley: "This collection is meant for the true KISS aficionado. The packaging really captures the development of both our music and image at a very crucial period in the band's history."

The special set comes out a month after the release of "Monster", their 20th studio album. Showing the band at the top of its game, "Monster"embodies all that is KISS and the music that first inspired them to pick up their guitars and flame-throwers and don makeup to entertain millions. Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley, with longtime members guitarist Tommy Thayer and drummer Eric Singer, return stronger than ever with their new album to continue the legacy of the spectacular larger-than-life extravaganza, known as, KISS.

Aerosmith: Steven Tyler On "Street Jesus"

The working title was "Sweet Jesus," but producer Jack Douglas suggested "Street Jesus." Tyler went with it, inspired by his frequent sightings of a man well over six feet tall who wanders the streets of Los Angeles dressed as Jesus Christ. In the song, a rushed Tyler sings, "Somebody stole my shoes/ Man, I could smell the booze... After that thief I ran/ Into another man who had no feet."

"I sat down, put pad to paper and, before you know it, I had a bunch of one-liners or 10-liners about a story like that – about the holes in my shoes and the holes in his hand," Tyler recalls, "teaching in church what you learn in the street."

The finished song is the new album's second-longest track. Tyler compares the tempo and feel to Aerosmith's "Jailbait" from 1982, but bassist Tom Hamilton looks back further: "Steven nailed the lyric on it. It reminds me of a classic British thing from the Sixties."
