AC/DC: New 20 Min Video Interview With Brian Johnson And Angus Young

Ben Jones of Absolute Radio conducted an interview with Angus Young and Brian Johnson of AC/DC about the band's new live DVD "Live At River Plate". They also discuss what they were doing while on a break between albums, how they carry out the recording process of their albums, having fun together, how interviews are a pain in the ass, the follow-up to"Black Ice"... and much, much more. Watch the 20-minute chat below.

Four members of AC/DC made an appearance on the "black carpet" of the"Live At River Plate" premiere on May 6 at the Hammersmith Apollo in London, England.

AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd was unable to attend the event because "his house (in New Zealand) got hit by a storm," according to singer Brian Johnson.

AC/DC guitarist Angus Young revealed during an interview that there are plans for the group to release a new studio album "within the next couple of years. He said, "Well, at some point we'll be touring again once we get a new album out, which will hopefully be within the next couple of years."

When asked about whether AC/DC could top its "Black Ice" world tour - which saw the band play to more than five million fans and visit 108 cities in 20 months - he replied, "Yeah, definitely." Brian Johnson added, "We'll try to make the next tour even better, we'll bloody try."

Columbia Records has posted exclusive video footage from the official premiere party of AC/DC's "Live At River Plate" DVD in London. Over 3,500 fans, media, comp winners and Sony staff from around the globe attended the premiere with AC/DC who arrived to nearly 1,000 fans waiting outside the venue! Upon arriving, the band signed fan autographs and talked to media on the black carpet (which included two cannons from the tour positioned on either side!). Once inside, the band were introduced on stage via an on screen message from Ozzy Osbourne followed by Brian Johnson saying a few words on behalf of the band.
