Guns N’ Roses have been confirmed as headliner for the final night of this years Rock In Rio extravaganza. Scheduled to run for six nights from 23-25 September and 30 September- 2October, the usual eclectic list of artists are included in the line-up. For those of us with a more rocky persuasion we can look forward to the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Stone Sour on 24 Sept. followed by Metallica, Slipknot, Motorhead and Coheed and Cambria on 25 Sept.
The festival will be held in The City Of Rock in Olympic Park, Barra da Tijuca/Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in a new arena.
Returning to Brazil for the first time since 2001 the festival aims to top some of the mind-boggling numbers it has racked up in the past.
Ten years ago the seven day event was attended by 1,235,000 people who consumed 600,000 liters of beer, 630,000 sandwiches, 105,000 energy drinks and 910,000 bottles of water.
