Def Leppard: New Live Album "Mirrorball"

Several news from the Def Leppard camp was revealed today on the bands website:

Def Leppard, Britain's greatest arena rock band, are set to headline Download Festival 2011 on Friday, June 10 at Donington Park (UK) to kick off their world tour. Other acts on the weekend bill include Alice Cooper, The Cult, Rob Zombie, Twisted Sister, Korn and more.

The band are also set to release a brand new live album, "Mirrorball", this summer featuring a mix of live Def Leppard classics, three brand new studio songs and a bonus DVD that contains energetic live performances and intimate backstage footage captured on the road.

Also set for release this summer is Leppard's first coffee table book titled "Def Leppard - The Definitive Visual History", with exclusive photos by legendary rock photographer Ross Halfin.

An official photo history book produced by the band and photographer Ross Halfin. Full details are yet to be confirmed (see news stories for more info).

According to Joe Elliott this would be the first part of a series of books that will cover the whole history of the band. This part is an overview of their whole career and the following books would be a series of encyclopedia style volumes tracing their history in order starting from the early days in Sheffield. As mentioned below the book will contain 250 images with commentary by the band and celebrity fans. Read more on this location.
