Yngwie Malmsteen will release his new album,"Spellbound", on December 5.
The
album will feature 13 tracks, ranging from the most extreme
neoclassical guitar compositions to turbo-charged bluesy material. As
you'll see from the tracklisting below, it features some very Yngwie
song titles - cant wait to hear "Repent," "God Of
War," "Iron Blues" and especially "Turbo
Amadeus."
And
here's a surprise: this time around Yngwie will be handling the lead
vocals. It's not the first time he's sung - he did a pretty good job
of Jimi Hendrix's "Manic Depression" on
his "Inspiration" album of covers, after all. It's always
interesting to see what happens when guitar heroes fully embrace the
mic: Joe Satriani kinda divided fans with his vocal material, while
Steve Vai seemed to make a pretty good go of it.
The track listing for the CD is as follows:
01. Spellbound
02. High Compression Figure
03. Let's Sleeping Dog Lie
04. Repent
05. Majestic 12 Suite 1,2 & 3
06. Electric Duet
07. Nasca Lines
08. Poisoned Mind
09. God Of War
10. Iron Blues
11. Turbo Amadeus
12. From A Thousand Cuts
13. Requiem For The Lost
