VH1
Classic offered an exclusive sneak peek of the second episode of the
expansive and thorough documentary series 'Metal
Evolution.'
This ep examines the genesis of the American hard rock movement and
features interviews with the right wing carnivore known as Ted Nugent ,
guitarist Lenny Kaye and the one and only hard-abbed Iggy Pop.
Pop made a poignant and potent statement when he said he wanted to assert himself in a primal way through the music he made with The Stooges. "To take the sex when I wanted it, to take the money when I wanted it, to be somebody and not to have a job to be somebody," said Pop. That was his singular goal and mission, which he accomplished mightily. Just look at his career.
It's a two-minute teaser that will certainly have you making a mental note or setting a smart phone reminder to tune in this Saturday night at 10:00PM ET to VH1 Classic to watch the rest of the episode.
