Metallica has confirmed rumors that it will play a corporate gig in San Francisco at a party hosted by Salesforce.com, a cloud computing company that provides cloud-based applications and solutions for businesses to enhance their sales and customer service capabilities. The company is hosting its annual convention called Dreamforce in San Francisco, and Metallica got involved through Hammett's friendship with Salesforce.com chief executive officer Marc Benioff, who is his neighbor.
