Led Zeppelin: "Celebration Day"

Led Zeppelin will release a film version of its 2007 reunion gig at the end of November. Titled "Celebration Day", the film will feature footage from the band's reunion gig in aid of the late Atlantic Records founder Ahmet Ertegun.

"Celebration Day" will see a worldwide theatrical release by Omniverse Vision on 1,500 screens in over 40 territories on October 17. The theatrical screenings will follow premieres in London, Los Angeles, New York, and other major cities. Tickets for the public screenings will be available on September 13 via LedZeppelin.com. "Celebration Day" will then be available in multiple video and audio formats on November 19 from Swan Song/Atlantic Records. Specific product details will be announced soon.

On December 10, 2007, Led Zeppelin took the stage at London's O2 Arena to headline a tribute concert for dear friend and Atlantic Records founderAhmet Ertegun. 2. Not sure if it was just our theater, but it wasn't in surround sound so only the speakers at the front of the theater played. People complained about the low volume and we were told that was the reason.

    1. Same here - poor sound did not do the show justice. Should have been Imax & surround sound! We saw it in NYC

  3. Saw it last night. Awesome, amazing and orgasmic. One problem -- and a really big one -- the theater's volume was just not up to it. So by all means go see the movie, but defnitely make sure the theater's speaker system can cut it. Otherwise, buy the DVD.

  4. I can not believe that the sound problem is so generalized. I saw the movie yesterday in a Mexico's interior city (Querétaro) and the only speakers that was working was the front ones. There was no subwoofer and the bombo and deep bass sound almost absent. The guitar was dominating the sound, obviously we all love Page's guitars, but who do not want to hear John Paul Jones properly?

  6. Just saw the rerun here in NYC. Amazing show! I am definitely getting the DVD both for me and for my dad. Regarding the sound: it was ok; it seemed to be surround or at least loud enough to sound better than if I played it in a room. Awesome experience! I wish I could have gone to the real thing! :)
