Slash
returned to this year's Slacker Canadian Music Week to
participate in a celebrity interview on Friday, March 23 at the
Fairmont Royal York Hotel in Toronto, Ontario, Canada before a
sold-out performance later that evening at The Phoenix Concert
Theatre.
After the concert, Slash wrote on his Facebook page, "Toronto was the perfect spot to kick the tour off. Great crowd and vibe, as always. Don't want to leave now."
Fan-filmed video footage of the show can be seen below.
When asked why the new CD is billed as "Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators", Slash told Metro News, "The first solo record I did was called 'Slash' but when we took the band on the road, I called it 'Slash featuring Myles Kennedy'. That became a bigger event than I expected. So when I thought about doing another record with Brent and Todd, I needed to give some kind of credit to the guys who were the backline."
