The Rods: New 18 Min Video Interview With David "Rock" Feinstein

Robert Williams of Metal-Rules.com conducted an interview with David "Rock" Feinstein of The Rods on March 19 in Austin, Texas. You can now watch the 18 minute chat below.

One band that many veteran metalheads feel should have hit the big time was New York's The Rods. Comprised of members David "Rock" Feinstein (guitar/lead vocals), Garry Bordonaro (bass/vocals), and Carl Canedy (drums/vocals), The Rods would go on to open arena shows for such renowned groups as Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Ozzy Osbourne, ScorpionsRainbow, and during the mid-'80s, even had a then-unknown Metallica opening a headlining tour for them.

But this appears to changing quickly, as the trio has signed on with the Niji Entertainment Group, a label that was created by Ronnie James Dio and his wife/manager, Wendy Dio. The new album, "Vengeance" is set for release on May 24th.

SleazeRoxx.com have put out a review of the forthcoming album. Read exerpts below:

East Coast rockers The Rods have reunited for another go at it. Hot on the heels of David 'Rock' Feinstein's solo effort "Bitten By The Beast" comes The Rods' "Vengeance", the band's first studio album in 25 years. Unlike the eclectic solo effort by Feinstein, this album is a true hard rock/metal effort through and through.

"Vengeance" is just the right length and even if it didn't include "The Code", which Ronnie James Dio sang on, the record is still respectable. Along with "The Code" some of the other highlights include "Raise Some Hell", "I Just Wanna Rock", "Runnin' Wild", and the title track. If you're looking for a veteran band that has stayed true to their roots and haven't embarrassed themselves by stepping outside of what they know then pick up this album.
